Two projects from that period stand out. At Amazon Robotics, he worked on AI-based process automation that detected and analysed the activity of Kiva warehouse robots, which cut the manual scanning and human effort needed in fulfilment centres in the United States and the United Kingdom. At Allied Media's Visual Intelligence Lab, he was product owner and lead developer of DocVision, an extraction engine that reads messy, scanned documents the way a person would. Earlier, he spent a year as an AI researcher in Taiwan, working under Prof. Mark Lin on automated circuit-image analysis.
